Description of Work Unit The School of Education faculty is comprised of educator-scholars whose expertise spans diverse learning contexts and populations. Innovative instruction, diversity/equity/inclusion, technology-enhanced learning, distance education, service learning, professional development school partnerships, and rigorous research are embodied in all of our programs. Our faculty members’ philosophies and areas of expertise, along with the School’s core values, guide our pedagogical and inquiry practices, which are typically both interdisciplinary and applied.

Position Summary Center for Educator Preparation is searching for a temporary worker to assist as a university coach to students participating in their student practicum.
Responsibilities of this person would include the following:
· Work with the student and mentor teacher as they learn how to instruct students in the PK-12 setting.
Position Minimum Qualifications · Master degree in Education PK-12
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Experience working with PK-12 students and/or university students
· Previous work experience as faculty in the Center for Educator Preparation (CEP)
Preferred Qualifications · Familiarity with CEP EDCT/EDUC 485 courses
· Foundational understanding of educational systems and teacher preparation
· Prior experience working with underrepresented, diverse populations (low-income, first-generation, students who are undocumented, and students with disabilities)
