About the role

The Project Coordinator, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will develop, coordinate and implement improvements to Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) processes and activities, including Institutional Credit Agreements (ICAs) with TAFE providers, Deakin College and our International partners.

This position, as the central point of coordination, will require project lifecycle knowledge, change management principles and stakeholder management experience. The Project Coordinator will work closely with subject matter experts to identify and implement best practice approaches, while driving a cultural change.

The Project Coordinator responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in process improvement activities and adopt new ideas to develop, coordinate and implement improvements
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Student Services Admissions, Faculty Academic Services, Faculty Partnership and Engagement, Academic staff, Deakin International, Future Students, Marketing, People and Culture and Digital Solutions 
  • Actively lead process improvement initiatives and work with team members to implement improvements to Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) including Institutional Credit Agreements (ICAs)
  • Lead a team of two project officers to embed meaningful improvements that will ensure an exceptional experience for students and staff 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience in designing effective solutions to complex business and technical problems
  • Experience in project planning and delivery within large complex organisations
  • Knowledge of project methodologies, tools and practices
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices (desirable)
