Offer Description

The post is for a six-year period. The annual gross salary is about 47.000 Euros. The area of research and teaching is Electronic and Informatics Bioengineering:
Required research duties: the research activity will concern with the main domains of the academic discipline of Electronic and Informatics Bioengineering (ING-INF/06), with a specific focus on the integration of bioengineering methods and technologies with the medical and biological issues of life sciences. The research themes will relate to Digital Health and its development towards patient-centered medicine, with emphasis on the translational clinical outcomes in terms of prevention, diagnostics, and therapy. To this aim, the research activity will involve:
– The instruments and methods for the multi-domain acquisition of biomedical signals and images.
– The development, validation, and application of novel technologies for the monitoring of physiological systems in real-life conditions.
– The elaboration and integration of multi-scale and multi-domain biological data, biosignals, and bioimages.
– The modelling of complex systems with emphasis on physiological systems.
– The design and performance of clinical studies for primary and secondary research.
Required teaching duties: in line with the annual programming of the Department of Industrial Engineering, the teaching activity will relate to the academic discipline of Electronic and Informatics Bioengineering (ING-INF/06) or related disciplines, in the bachelor and/or master degrees of the Department of Industrial Engineering. Teaching activity may also relate to inter-university courses, with different locations from the Department, held either in Italian or English, as well as courses of advanced level, held in English and concerning the research activity carried out. The teaching effort is defined by the Counsil of the Department of Industrial Engineering in the planning of teaching activity, according to the specific regulation of the University.

Foreign language required: excellent level of English;
Knowledge of Italian: level adequate to carry out the assigned teaching load (the researcher is required to teach in Italian);
Maximum number of publications to be presented: 12;
