In Indonesia, UN Women works with the government, civil society organizations (CSOs), academia, the media, and the public and private sectors to address national priorities of gender equality and women’s empowerment. Placing the advancement of women’s rights at the centre of our work and aligning with UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2021-2025UN Women Indonesia focuses on (1) Inclusive human development through ending violence and discrimination against women and building women’s leadership to build sustainable peace (2) Advance value-added and transformative economy by supporting women’s economic empowerment (3) Gender-responsive approach to building climate resilience and disaster risk reduction (4) Using innovation and data to leverage gender responsive governance.
Reporting to Programme Management Specialist/Head of Programmes, the Partnership and Coordination Associate works with and provides support to the members of the Programme Team in the development and implementation of effective partnership strategy and implementation consistent with UN Women rules and regulations. The Programme Associate contributes to research, financial management, and programme implementation, including providing necessary operational, administrative, and programmatic support to the Country Office’s partnership with Government, private sector, and donors. The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the partnership focal points in the RO and UN Women HQ as required for technical advice. In support to UN Women Indonesia’s effort to expand the partnership strategy with non-traditional partners, such as private sector, the Programme Associate provides support to facilitate due diligence and development of the Country Office private sector and resource mobilization strategy.

- Provide support in development and management of UN Women’s strategic partnerships in Indonesia Country Office
- Support and coordinate relationships with key partners; provide technical inputs to senior management’s efforts at the country level to develop new and innovative partnerships;
- Set and monitor annual priorities, goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships with private sectors and donors;
- Provide technical support to the Country Office on building and maintaining partnerships and positioning with Government, potential donors and private sector;
- Support Country Office on the design and implementation of effective strategies and methods for proactive and strategic targeting of partners and donors.
Provide technical support to the development of strategic partnerships:
- Provide support in managing activities and other promotional events to engage bilateral and multilateral institutions/donors, private sector and civil society to expand and/or sustain interest and resources for UN Women programmes and joint UN system programmes;
- Prepare background documents and analysis for the Country Representative to forge and implement strategic partnerships to increase outreach on UN Women’s work in the country;
- Act as a direct entry point for donors, private sector and government in building institutional relationships;
Provide support to strengthen the country office resource mobilization strategy:
- Support the Country Office on resource mobilization procedures and guidelines as well as funding modalities, liaising with the focal points at RO and HQ;
- Provide regular updates on donor profiles, databases (e.g. contacts management) and donor intelligence;
- Identify opportunities to secure additional non-core resources.
Provide support to the Senior Management on partnership development:
- Provide technical support to joint inter-agency UN coordination processes and similar exercises, particularly in the area of donor coordination on gender, strategic partnership with private sectors and government agencies;
- Prepare briefing materials for the Senior Management on issues to be discussed in the UN and other events and meetings related to private sector and government partnership;
- Prepare background materials and analysis for CO Senior Management on the opportunities to support inclusive engagement of women in “Leaving No One Behind” agenda, particularly young women/youth, persons with disability and marginalized group of women in the development assistance provided by the UNCT;
- Work together with UN Women Indonesia’s focal point for monitoring and reporting and prepare analytical and regular progress reports on UN Women’s partnership development.
Provide support in knowledge building, sharing and advocacy efforts:
- Provide support to the development of knowledge products and mechanisms to effectively position UN Women in the Country wherever possible;
- Share knowledge and enhance organizational learning among UN Women regional and field offices through the development and use of on-line tools, templates, tips, mechanisms and guidelines;
- Provide support to Senior Management and Programme Team to dentify emerging issues that could affect partnerships and resource contributions at the national or regional levels (risk management).

- Secondary education is required, or
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, International Relations, Economics and other relevant field would be highly desirable although it is not mandatory
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience (with high school diploma) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in supporting programme development and planning and/or programme management/implementation;
- Advance knowledge of spreadsheet/excel and database packages, Microsoft words, power point, outlook, etc
- Experience of project management
- Experience in planning and managing activities, developing Terms of reference , concept note, presentation and briefs to support engagement with targeted partners would be an asset
- Experience in engagement with private sectors, especially in promoting gender equality, diversity inclusion and human rights in business is an asset;
- Experience in initiating and managing relationship with government agencies and development partners would be an asset
- Experience in supporting a team and senior management is preferred.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.
