CPCD is currently operating in many countries in the Middle East: Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Yemen, Ukraine, Lebanon, and North Africa. We are a consulting company that provides TPM, Research and Assessment, and Capacity Building Services throughout the MENA region. We have worked/are working with clients such as WFP, UNDP, GIZ, IOM-UN, DRC, Relief International, CARE, Welthungerhilfe, Médecins du Monde, Oxfam, GOAL International, Expertise France, Solidarités International, and Baytna, HI, SCI, Chemonics, amongst many others.

Objective:

In this role, you will work with the Business Development Head, Technical Managing Director, and M&E/Research Projects Manager, and you will report directly to the BD Head. Therefore, we are looking for a strong candidate with good M&E and business development skills; particularly in regard to proposal writing. You will also be responsible for leading and submitting high-quality bids for different clients including UN agencies, I/NGOs, and other donors and agencies.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research bids or proposals and bids as needed
  • Support the BD department in preparing and drafting technical proposals for research, external evaluations, endline and baseline assessments, needs assessment, capacity building, and market assessments in addition to others needs in this regard.
  • Work with the BD Head to ensure opportunities are identified, listed, and prepared or worked on
  • Ensure all proposal documents are submitted on time
  • Ensure effective client communication during proposal development.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and respected.
  • QA the work of other BD interns and staff as needed
  • Lead submission of proposals as instructed by the BD Head and Senior Management Team
  • Perform other duties arising from the nature of the tasks above based on the development of business and work activities.
  • This job is remote. CPCD operates mostly it will be preferable if the candidate is located in a country that is situated in a time zone within 3 hours of Turkey.

Organizational Structure:

You will be reporting to the Business Development Head and working closely with the TPM unit staff.

Candidate profile & qualifications

  1. Business Development experience in preparing bids and tenders for M&E and research opportunities including capacity-building bids (highly preferable)
  2. Exceptional writing skills (must)
  3. Native / highly proficient English speaker (must)
  4. A relevant university degree (social sciences, M&E, development studies, etc.)
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of the development/ humanitarian sector
  6. Good organizational skills, analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail
  7. Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment.
  8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
