At the McGrath Foundation, we raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide invaluable support and care to women and men experiencing breast cancer. These nurses provide life-changing care and support for families going through Breast Cancer.

More about the role:
We’re looking for a maximum-term contractor (12 months) to own the day-to-day activities of the People and Culture function. The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Strengthening and maintaining effective relationships across the Foundation and with core People and Culture suppliers
- Supporting the Foundation’s strategy by partnering with managers and team members to drive consistent and effective People and Culture practices
- Driving a positive, supportive and open organisational culture and provide insights to achieve individual and organisational objectives
- Keeping abreast of government and best practice people and culture progress and recommending / embedding change as appropriate
- Promoting life-long learning and providing the team with opportunities to expand their professional development
Who we are looking for:
For this role, we are looking for a mix of the following experience, qualifications, and skills:
- Proven ability to build effective relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills including problem solving and conflict resolution
- Understanding of employment legislation and people and culture best practice
- At least five years working in People and Culture or a related field
- Tertiary qualifications in People and Culture or a related discipline and / or Australian Human Resources Institute Certification
