PerkinElmer is looking for high potential Manager Human Resources to be a member of the Northern Europe HR Team, providing human resources leadership for our Netherlands and Belgium employees. In this role you will collaborate with HR team members supporting Northern Europe along our global HR Centers of Excellence in Talent, Total Rewards, HR Technology & Analytics, and our HR Program Management Office to deliver the full scope HR activities in this geography.

You will be supporting approximately 50 employees in the Netherlands and 50 in Belgium. This is a hybrid role, working from our offices in Heverlee near Leuven, Belgium 3 days a week.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP AND SUPPORT

  • Understand the business strategy & priorities of our Global Business Units (GBLs) and Global Support Services (GSSs), the Global HR roadmap, as well as the external environment in the region and translate all of this into an Integrated HR Strategy execution across Belgium and the Netherlands, in partnership with the Global HR Centers of Excellence;
  • Leads the entire recruitment-to-retire employee life cycle;
  • Lead the delivery of initiatives and projects across the geography (mergers & acquisitions, HR programs implementation, etc.) and provide overall support throughout the whole process for its successful completion;
  • Engage with Senior Stakeholders and provide them with appropriate coaching and guidance with regards to organizational changes, critical workforce capability requirements, talent development, and culture transformation;
  • Drive key HR processes including performance management and merit planning;
  • Together with Site Leaders and key Business Leaders, create country/site engagement amongst employees;
  • Stay up to date with the highlights of the region (business activity, employee morale etc.) and get to know the key talent within the geography;
  • Understand, monitor key HR indicators, and use them appropriately for informing situations and taking decisions;
  • Effectively resolve directly complex HR situations within legal framework, as well as PerkinElmer Values;
  • Lead recruitment and talent selection processes aligned and to support business needs and organizational growth;
  • In collaboration with the Total Reward team develop, implement, and maintain compensation and benefits programs/structures that are internally equitable and externally competitive to attract, motivate and retain talent;
  • Complies with labor law requirements and ensures adherence to requirements. Partner with internal/external legal counsel to anticipate legislation & impact for the company and follow through;
  • Partner with the Global HR community and contribute to discussions and projects, when needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources in the Netherlands and Belgium;
  • 3+ years’ experience working and negotiating with Works Councils, Unions and other third-party employment groups;
  • Role will be hybrid- combination of home-based and site visits to our office locations in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources;
  • Strong business & financial acumen;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective on-going partnerships through all levels of the organization;
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong strategic and systems thinker; process improvement orientation;
  • Ability to operate well autonomously, demonstrate ownership and self-sufficiency for project management;
  • Data-driven and analytical thinker who can communicate concepts effectively to others;
  • Possess innovative knowledge, a point of view, and the ability to influence leaders;
  • Has a strong partnership and collaborative mindset, while thinking creatively about solutions to business objectives;
  • Ability and energy to engage and build relationships; viewed as a SME and a trusted advocate by all employees.
