  • Casual positions
  • Classification: SCHADS Level 3 with a salary range of $45.05 – $48.30 per hour (includes casual loading) + Superannuation

About your new role

Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers provide a range of rehabilitation and support to consumers, tailored to meet their individual needs. Neami National’s work with consumers occurs within their own community of friends, family and neighbourhood. The CRSW position in the Townsville/Cairns area for this program will have the ability to work independently with in the Townsville & Cairns Hinterland and Health Services catchment area.

Tully to Mossman and west to Croydon. We use a range of methods, phone, teams, zoom, and face to face. Overnight travel is not a requirement for day-to-day consumer support. You will work closely with clinical case managers and other community partner organisations in order to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers.

Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers at Neami National function within a collaborative team approach and are supported by regular opportunities to reflect upon their practice and access comprehensive training and development.

What you will bring to the role

  • Formal tertiary qualification in Mental Health or related field or willingness to obtain.
  • Eligible to obtain correctional facility entry clearance.
  • A valid Australian Driver’s License and ability to travel to Hinterlands regularly in most weather conditions.
  • Skills working independently with people in community.
  • Knowledge of recovery practice principles which effectively translate in a solution focused direction.
  • Ability maintaining a balanced approach, empathetic and objective in an emotionally charged and potentially triggering environment.
  • Effective understanding and use of file and data systems

What the role requires

  • National Criminal History Check (police check) – disclosable outcomes considered.
  • Current Working with Children Check – required before commencement of work.
  • Current drivers’ licence
  • Australian working rights
