What we are looking for
UNICEF Australia is seeking a key member for the Brand & Campaigns Team, reporting to the Brand & Content Manager, the Graphic Designer crafts compelling visual concepts for diverse print and digital media across UNICEF Australia’s platforms. Collaborating closely with the Content and Social Media teams, this role also offers support to various departments within the organisation.
Your day will include
- Collaborate with the team to develop creative assets across a range of below the line (digital) and above the line (out of home) channels to support UNICEF Australia’s brand campaigns and activities.
- Work closely with the Brand & Content Manager to develop and refine design concepts and strategies, considering feedback and adjusting creative assets as needed.
- Ensure a best practice approach is applied to maintain brand consistency and design cohesion across all visual communications.
- Uphold UNICEF Australia’s visual brand identity across all brand campaigns and activities, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand and style guidelines.
- Support administrative tasks, including filing creative work, and adding metadata and captioning, sorting content collected by UNICEF Australia.
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in graphic design, digital communications, marketing or other relevant area of study, or equivalent working experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience developing visual assets for communications and marketing pieces with specific brand engagement and advocacy calls to action
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Canva
- Strong attention to detail, deadline driven, able to multi-task and handle multiple projects and tasks
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and offer innovative solutions within limited timeframes and resource boundaries
- Demonstrated end-to-end project experience from ideation, strategy or brief, production to go-live
- Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders through a collaborative approach and style
- Knowledge of social media trends
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of human rights, international development and world affairs
- Familiarity with filming and video editing is advantageous
