Sewell Wallis are working with a financial services business with a strong presence across the country. They’re looking for an FP&A Analyst to join their successful team, reporting to a dynamic Director of FP&A.
The business has grown exponentially and since a recent strategic initiative, we have been focused on both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Notable acquisitions include several entities in the recent past as well as in future plans.
Purpose of the Role: As FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering commercially focused financial insights and supporting financial performance management. You will collaborate closely with the finance leadership team to drive strategic decision-making.
The job;
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor performance against the Financial Plan/Forecast, including financial modeling and establishing processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track and measure performance against strategic goals.
- Work closely with the Mergers & Acquisition team to ensure the realization of financial synergies and identify further opportunities.
- Conduct analysis to identify risks and opportunities to business performance, and develop recommendations to address them.
- Develop and implement business case tracking for new initiatives.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support sound commercial and financial decision-making
The person;
- Demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Big 4 first mover or FP&A experience in the financial services industry
- Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Possess excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information effectively.
- Be proficient in financial modeling, specifically in Excel, and have the ability to create, update, and maintain complex financial models.
- Exhibit a proven track record of leveraging financial data to create value and drive business performance.
- Have a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior management quickly.
