JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
  • Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program’s continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
  • Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
  • Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
  • May plan, administer, or monitor the program’s budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
  • May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
  • Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
  • Maintains complete and accurate program records.
  • May serve on or chair various University committees.
  • May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Reports to the Director of Enrollment Operations and Academic Affairs & the Director of Student Engagement. 

Creating Opportunities for Student Success

  • Review institutional data, benchmark with peer institutions, and develop qualitative and quantitative data collection methods to assess student needs related to academic support, well-being, and success.
  • Create, implement, and evaluate data-informed and evidence-based programs and events surrounding student success. This includes (but is not limited to) academic support and mentorship, financial literacy and well-being, and leadership and professional development.
  • Proactively engage Rollins community members (faculty, staff, and students) on resources and programs to support students.
  • Foster relationships and collaborate with school, university, and community partners to conduct student success programs. 
  • May advise students individually towards academic success, leadership and professional development, and well-being.
  • Collective Impact of Student Success and Well-Being
  • In collaboration with faculty, staff, and students, review school-level policies and suggest areas for improvement, focusing on student retention and success.
  • Create systems and processes related to academic actions, student success, and degree completion (i.e. withdrawal from coursework, leave-of-absence, etc.).
  • Serve on the Rollins Student Support Team, a team of trained staff members that respond to students experiencing crisis and/or need to be connected to school and university resources.

Community Engagement

  • Serve on school and university-level committees as needed. 
  • Participate in school-wide programs planned by the Office of Student Affairs, including Visit Emory, Destination Public Health, New Student Orientation, Graduation, and Career Fairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Student advisement experience with graduate/professional student populations. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining various stakeholder relationships within a school, university, and/or community setting.
  • Demonstrated ability in virtual and in-person event management and program implementation.
  • Evidence of being able to troubleshoot and identify solutions to problems. 
  • Evidence of excellent written, verbal, data management and facilitation skills. 
  • Adept at using program evaluation methods and demonstrated ability to use data to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to supervise full-time and student personnel.
  • Curriculum instruction and design

  • Experience with honor/conduct code policies/processes

 
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
