The University of Maryland, Baltimore has an exciting opportunity for a Enterprise Application Senior Analyst to join their team.  Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Administration/University Registrar, the Enterprise Application Senior Analyst is a vital member of the department’s internal systems team and assists with day-to-day systems operations. The selected candidate provides technical support for the Financial Aid & University Registrar office related to updating, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes with Banner Student Information System. The Enterprise Application Senior Analyst assists the financial aid team in meeting crucial deadlines, solves problems, and communicates updates and resolutions with internal and external teams. The incumbent assist in system testing of new and existing functionality due to system upgrades and critical fixes. This position resides in Enrollment Administration and reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Administration/University Registrar and works closely with the Director of Student Financial Assistance & Employment and the Associate Registrar. In addition, works in collaboration with CITS functional analysts.

Primary Duties
Lead or coordinate/facilitate a team, the senior position designs, configures and implements functional aspects of enterprise-wide application software solutions. This position will have an in-depth understanding of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application configuration options, processes, and data flow. Requires the ability to assess current campus business practices and develop solutions to implement best practices for campus business functions This may entail working with campus users to draft new business processes and/or developing functional specifications for enhancements to the enterprise-wide application software. Typical duties also include acting as a liaison to campus community, monitoring critical business activities, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides functional support of the production ERP application by working directly with central ORR, Financial Aid, and school/program records and registration teams.
  • Acts as a liaison between University Registrar and technical team to address issues and recommend solutions.
  • Assesses business practices and requirements and analyzes ERP software applications to evaluate available solutions.
  • Facilitates meetings with AVP, Associate Registrar, Associate Director FINAID, technical staff and to troubleshoot issues and design and implement resolutions.
  • Documents system processes and data flow for application modules.
  • Develops and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • May lead and train other staff and campus users associated with enterprise-wide application support.
  • Independently troubleshoots complex issues with the ERP application processing and/or configuration. Reports any finding to AVP/University Registrar.
  • Independently creates, executes and manages test plans and evaluates results to ensure system integrity Reports any finding to AVP/University Registrar.
  • Designs and implements ERP, student application security for campus community.
  • Documents and manages application issues and resolutions.
  • Identifies system inefficiencies and recommends effective solutions.
  • Creates standard processes for campus records & registration teams for Banner and DegreeWorks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  

Education: Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, Computer Engineering or a related field to application, such as business, finance, or human resources.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience in a functional area that required the use of ERP software packages (e.g. PeopleSoft/Oracle, Banner, etc.), or other enterprise wide application software (e.g. COEUS, Maximus ERS). This may include working as user of an ERP/enterprise wide application system, or providing functional support to other users of ERP/enterprise-wide administrative systems.

The Hiring Range for this position is in the low $100,000s to mid $110,000s, commensurate with education and experience.
