Job Description: |
Student Assistant Biostatistics/Statistics Under supervision and direction, prepare, integrate and analyze research and/or other complex statistical data for PRISMAp Lab in the Division of Nephrology, Division of Nephrology, Hypertension and Renal Transplantation, at the Department of Medicine.
Prepare statistical and narrative reports.
Create tables and figures for publications and presentations.
Identify methodological approaches.
Build statistical models for data analysis.
Participate in the interpretation of data.
One year commitment expected.
Statistical Analysis experience.
Student Assistant Communications Intern This position will help plan, produce and publish content for the Intelligent Clinical Care Center’s social media channels and other communication outlets (e.g. newsletter and webpage) work with IC3 staff to produce content for the center’s website, as well as assist with publications and social media.
Keep social and communication content continually rich and engaging
Source social media content for the center’s Linkedin and Twitter accounts
Arrange social media planning and publishing calendars
Research and communicate opportunities to use trending topics on social media to tell IC3 stories
Aid with sourcing ideas and producing content for the center’s website and newsletters
Assist with other projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned
Research Intern This position will help support the scholarly efforts of the center’s researchers. This assistant will work with IC3 staff to provide research assistance for artificial intelligence experts.
Conduct literature reviews
Assemble bibliographies
Create tables and graphs to present data
Write summaries of research materials
Assist with proofreading scientific manuscripts
Assist with other projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Expected Salary: |
$15/hr or more based on experience level.

Minimum Requirements: |
Student Assistant Biostatistics/Statistics
Enrolled in or completed a Masters or PhD degree program in Biostatistics/Statistics (or a related field)
Proven data integration, management, visualization, and analysis skills
Experience with programming languages (R, Python, SAS)
Experience in statistical analysis methods such as regression analysis, longitudinal data analysis, categorical data analysis, and survival analysis.
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Willingness to learn new skills as projects require
Student Assistant Communications Intern
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Able to present new ideas and concepts
Must be able to work and multi-task independently
Research Intern
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week

Student Assistant Communications Intern
Pursuincg a degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or a related field
Proficiency with graphic design software, such as Canva and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
Previous video production or editing experience
Research Intern
Pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science or a related scientific field
Experience working in a research environment as a paid employee, intern or volunteer
Previous experience writing or editing scientific papers
Have an interest in artificial intelligence-related research
