About headspace

headspace provides early intervention mental health services to young people 12–25-years old. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.

About the Position

The Program Manager is responsible for the effective and high-quality delivery of headspace Early Psychosis services in Darwin and Palmerston. The Early Psychosis service provides young people experiencing early psychosis and their families evidence based, clinical mental health treatment. As the Program Manager you will work collaboratively with the Clinical Operations Manager, Clinical Director, and other Program Managers to provide dynamic leadership, management and coordination of the assessment and continuing care teams to ensure service delivery meets the Australian Early Psychosis Program (AEPP) model of care and headspace model of evidence based best practice.

What we are looking for:

  • The minimum qualification required is an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 5 years’ experience of leadership in a health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as APHRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, such as the AASW for Social Workers. 
  • Experience in evidence based therapeutic modalities (i.e. CBT and ACT) is essential.
  • Experience in the provision of strength-based supervision, leadership, and management within a clinical mental health service, preferably in adolescent mental health programs with a commitment to strengths-based supervision and self-care.
  • A passion for youth mental health, in particular working alongside young Aboriginal people and their families
