RFDS Victoria’s Marketing and Fundraising team is responsible for communication the RFDS Victoria story to a range of audiences and for funding the ambition of the organisation, enabling us to deliver services to patients and clients. We work to ensure we maintain the financial stability and brand integrity of the organisation.

The role

The Supporter Services team supports the development and implementation of RFDS Victoria fundraising programs, appeals, campaigns and events through excellent communication, accurate gift processing for financial reconciliation, quality donor care and general administrative support.

Reporting to the Senior Supporter Services Administrator, Marketing & Fundraising, the Supporter Services Administrator will play a key role in ensuring donations and merchandise orders are processed in a proficient and timely manner, queries are responded to promptly & effectively and that donor details are kept confidential and up to date.

This role will be responsible for both inbound and outbound calling to support the range of fundraising programs and events that Flying Doctor has in place.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Daily processing of one-off donations in The Raiser’s Edge (data entry).
  • Looking after the fundraising team’s shared email inbox.
  • Run receipting to ensure all donors are receiving acknowledgement for their gift within agreed time frames.
  • Being the first point of contact for inbound calls from RFDS supporters wanting to donate, update their details or enquire about RFDS.
  • Making a range of outbound calls to existing RFDS supporters, including donation follow up.
  • Displaying a high-level of donor care when communicating with donors to resolve their enquiries and requests.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when completing donation financial reconciliation tasks.
  • Support our data hygiene program through accurate recording keeping.
  • Supporting the team during busy periods including participating in events and other fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • One to two years’ experience in fundraising, administration, finance or data entry.
  • Intermediate IT skills, including database experience, and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
  • Experience using Raisers Edge CRM is an advantage (not essential).

Mandatory requirements:

  • Working rights for Australia
  • Willing to undertake a National Police Check and hold a Working with Children Check
  • 2 COVID-19 vaccinations plus 1 booster (3 in total)
  • Annual influenza vaccination
