Terre des hommes (Tdh) is Switzerland’s largest child relief organisation. Since 1960, Tdh has been helping to build a better future for disadvantaged children and their communities through innovative and sustainable solutions. Present in 26 countries with an operational budget of over 100 million Swiss francs, Tdh works with local and international partners to develop and implement projects in the field which improve the daily lives of over four million children and their families in the fields of health, Access to Justice and Migration but also protection and emergency. This commitment is financed by individual and institutional support, with administrative costs kept to a minimum.
Mission :
Within the Quality & Accountability sector, the Advisor position facilitates and coordinates existing institutional processes and works on monitoring and steering processes for Tdh field operations.
Main responsibilities :
Institutional Planning and Steering Cycle
· Coordinate the institutional processes
· Facilitate and support the Annual Planning process to Managers and CODIR
· Coordinate with HR and Finance departments (linked processes : Budget & Appraisals)
· Oversee deadlines and follow up, collect the deliverables
· Manage the dedicated SharePoint site as key resource with reference documents, as well as manage the associated data (data control, extraction, visualization, etc.)
Support to Process optimization, process mapping and continuous process improvement
· Respond to requests related to process optimization, mapping and improvement using the toolbox and reference documents
Coordination of Tdh Operations results framework revision
· Update and align several existing frameworks: beneficiary counting system, standard programmatic /outcome indicators, catalogue of activities (development & emergency) to better include nexus.
· Ensure the perfect coherence between all these frameworks and the delivery of a revised version of the mentioned frameworks, and of the guidance, achieved with active participation of internal concerned stakeholders.
This work is estimated to account for at least 50% of the workload over the period and will be done in close collaboration with Tdh global MEAL advisor.
Preparatory work for the updating and streamlining of operations data collection and analysis systems
· Establish clear Terms of reference of the system, specifications for tools update with ISA/Data center and the consequent budgeting in order to allow the appropriate planning for implementation starting end 2024/beginning 2025.
Profile :
· Experience of coordinating work related to steering within NGOs, including experience in the field / MEAL
· Experience in project cycle management
· Excellent command of IT tools (pack office, especially excel & sharepoint)
· Experience in setting up data/indicator/dashboard systems.
· Analytical skills and ability to deliver synthetic work
· Excellent listening and coordination skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
