The North America Agriculture Program (“NA Ag”) is a highly-matrixed team that works closely with TNC’s widely dispersed staff in divisions, state business units (BUs) and whole system and global teams to scale up the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices and programs across the U.S. We work with public agencies, companies, NGOs and others to unlock financial and technical assistance, mitigate risk, support producer-led networks, bolster innovation and technology, and advocate for policies that enable agriculture practices that improve environmental and social outcomes. What We Can Achieve Together:
The NA Agriculture Program Specialist will work as part of a team within a business unit coordinating tasks related to one or more functional activities, such as operations support, procurement, meetings management, special events, training, volunteer programs, etc. The NA Ag Program Specialist will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the program by implementing tactics for approved plans and completing day-to-day tasks and activities. They will be responsible for planning and execution of logistics for special events and/or meetings, purchasing, negotiating with vendors, central filing, contracts due diligence and tracking, updating/maintaining intranet sites and other internal databases, and coordinating a variety of administrative and programmatic functions. They may assist with the recruitment, training, and recognition of program volunteers, and may direct the activities of volunteers. In addition, the Specialist may perform Information Systems, Human Resources, and Finance administrative tasks, including processing invoices, expense reports, and other forms, preparing reports and forecasts, and monitoring and preparing budgets. They will respond to inquiries about program activities, create program materials, and draft correspondence. They will be well versed in the systems and resources utilized by the team to execute assigned tasks. They will maintain, track and research data, produce and review reports, and perform program analysis. The Specialist will provide guidance in satisfying administrative requirements based on extensive knowledge of policies and procedures. They will provide support and targeted training related to the functional area of the team. They will implement processes and practices to improve effectiveness. The Specialist will communicate with staff in various programs across the Conservancy, as well as with donors, volunteers, vendors, and business relations. They will communicate or distribute information to assist staff in making decisions, solving problems, and improving workflow. This position requires some travel and working long and flexible hours as needed. This is a remote position within the U.S. that reports to the Director of Operations and Impact. The work environment will be mainly in-office and involves only infrequent travel, exposure to disagreeable elements, and minor physical exertion and/or strain.

- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience coordinating administrative processes.
- Experience generating reports and interpreting data.
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
- Experience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of people.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in a highly matrixed, large organization or institution, and with teams and partners located across time zones.
- Contracts management/tracking experience.
- Experience coordinating projects and ability to implement complex processes.
- Strong event management experience, especially with respect to coordinating logistics for 100+ person events and virtual workshops/meetings.
- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated.
- Ability to analyze information for the purpose of coordinating and planning activities and solving problems.
- Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results.
- Excellent customer service skills and focus.
- Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results.
- Knowledge of current trends in specific field.
- Strong organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Salary Information:
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $45,000 – $71,600 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate’s location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
