About the opportunity
In the Receptionist role, you will offer frontline service and response, whether through phone or in-person interactions, to consumers, visitors and stakeholders seeking access to Uniting’s information and services in a busy and challenging environment.
Additionally, you will be involved in handling routine office tasks and scheduling appointments for the Intake teams and Counsellors when needed, as well as taking on various administrative responsibilities in other service areas as necessary.

About you

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Certificate in Office Administration is desirable, but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in reception or customer service, or previous experience in office administration is essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of strategies to deal with difficult customers or clients is desirable.
- Experience working with a large organisation’s phone system and managing diversion of calls is desirable.
- Ability to undertake general financial tasks and undertake routine administrative tasks
- Ability to greet all consumers and visitors presenting at reception and incoming telephone calls, in a professional, welcoming, and prompt manner
