Your new team

Orygen Specialist Program, a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides mental health services to young people aged 12-25 and their families/carers in Melbourne’s northwest and western suburbs.

Youth Access Team (YAT) provides a youth triage, assessment, community treatment and crisis intervention mental health care response to young people.

Your new role:

  • Function autonomously as well as work collaboratively, to plan and develop services for these young people and their families/carers
  • Devise, implement and evaluate appropriate treatment plans – including clinical assessments, psychological treatments, home-based assertive outreach to facilitate engagement and case management tasks
  • Provide clinical supervision to a small number of clinicians
  • Establish and maintain effective interfaces and partnerships with key agencies and community groups through consultation, liaison, education and collaborative projects
  • Provide inclusive and sensitive practice to young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds

About you:

  • Experience at senior clinician level; working in early intervention in mental health, youth mental health teams, early psychosis programs, mental health triage and/or EMH / CATT / ECATT / PACER
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical practice within mental health, including
  • Registration and qualifications in a relevant area of practice (see attached position description for details)
  • Demonstrated clinical supervision skills
