Right of Way Specialist

The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is seeking to hire a Right of Way Specialist. This is a brand new position and the successful candidate will help further define and refine this position over time. This position will build relationships with agricultural tenants, utility companies, oil & gas companies, local jurisdictions, and state highway officials to coordinate their respective work on agricultural lands more closely while also ensuring that work suppresses weeds to reduce fire risk across the county. This position will also help to ensure that neighbors are notified and have opportunities to engage in these conversations with other jurisdictions as they look to widen roadways adjacent to Boulder County lands, install new utility infrastructure, and maintain, modify, and remove oil and gas infrastructure. We are looking for a self starter that proactively identifies and recommends solutions to challenging and complex issues. The position will consolidate the Agricultural Resource Division’s work on these requests into one position to improve service delivery to the entire community.
