Essential Functions
This position will assist or lead multi-faceted planning or environmental projects in collaboration with in-house staff or a varying array of consultants. This position is responsible for development and management of environmental compliance documents, including project permitting, and planning documents in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines. This position assists with Port compliance with state, local, and federal permits. This position represents the Port in local, state, and federal regulatory arenas and must have experience interfacing with such entities. This position requires a demonstrated and clear understanding of project management practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in urban, community, or regional planning, natural resources, environmental, or closely related field. Two to five years’ of increasingly responsible planning or environmental experience including project management. Demonstration of comprehensive knowledge of land use and environmental permitting, preparation of permit documents, and relevant regulatory and environmental regulations and processes in Washington state. Effective team member, solid writing skills, and strong communication skills.
