The Division of Ecological and Water Resources is seeking to hire a full-time permanent St. Louis River Project Manager. The St. Louis River Project Manager (Project Manager) will manage the development, design, implementation, and administration of St. Louis River Restoration Initiative (SLRRI) habitat restoration projects in close coordination with multiple partner organizations and agencies. The position will participate in acquiring and managing state, federal, and other grant awards as needed to complete projects. The position also represents Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR) on multi-agency initiatives that currently exist within the St. Louis River watershed by developing, implementing, and managing habitat projects in the estuary and surrounding watershed.
Responsibilities
- Implement habitat projects prioritized under the St. Louis River Restoration Initiative.
- Perform grant coordination tasks associated with State and Federal grants.
- Coordinate or participate in other management or planning activities within the St. Louis River estuary and other activities as assigned.
- Ensure responsibility for safety and accountability for safety performance so that injuries are reduced, equipment damage is minimized and tasks are performed according to established safety procedures.
This position has a flexible work arrangement and may be eligible to telework on a part-time basis which is subject to change. If approved, the employee would be required to complete a telework agreement.
