- $91,222 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
- Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) – Level 5 of EBA5
- 9 day fortnight
- 72.5 hour fortnight
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

About our opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Implementation Officer to join our team on Turrbal Country at Strathpine!
In December 2023, City of Moreton Bay adopted its first Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We’re excited to have formalised our commitment to building better relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, businesses and staff, and are looking forward to the next two years of focused delivery.
Reporting to the Principal Community Planning and Policy Officer, you will undertake a key role in the internal implementation of Council’s RAP, including the coordination and delivery of key initiatives, and monitoring and reporting on the RAP’s progress and outcomes.
You will help build momentum across Council departments and a diverse workforce around reconciliation, while maintaining relationships with community stakeholders.
About you
You will be experienced in navigating a large government organisation and know how to balance community advocacy and delivery of government policy. Your ability to build relationships across Council quickly and maintain these when facing tough conversations will be critical to success. Project management, business writing, ICT skills are important as you will lead the monitoring and reporting on our progress to Council and our communities.
You will have a good knowledge and understanding of contemporary reconciliation issues and practices; and significant experience working with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and building meaningful relationships.
