This is an exciting opportunity for suitably experienced individuals to be appointed as a Director on theAdult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board.
The Victorian Government is focused on growing Victoria’s prosperity, building the productive capacity of our economy and increasing participation by creating more opportunities for people through skills and jobs, helping businesses and industries to thrive, and building vibrant communities and regions.
The ACFE Board is a statutory authority that supports the development of adult, community and further education in Victoria and oversees Victorian Government funding to the Learn Local sector.
The Future of Adult Community Education in Victoria 2020–25: Ministerial Statement outlines the vision for the future of adult community education in Victoria and acknowledges the crucial role that the Learn Local sector plays. The ACFE Board has the lead role in implementing the Ministerial Statement in Victoria.
We encourage individuals with skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas to apply:
- Diversity of the Victorian community
- Governance and leadership
- Financial expertise
- Knowledge of regional/rural Victoria
- Adult community education (including knowledge and/or experience in the learn local sector)
- Direct knowledge of diverse learners in the ACFE sector.
In addition, aptitude in the following areas will be considered highly desirable:
- Stakeholder engagement (relations)
- Public sector governance expertise
- IT / Digital / Cyber security
- Legal
- Project development and planning
- Research and evaluation
- Probity
- Public Policy
- TAFE sector expertise
- Government relations
Board members are eligible for remuneration in accordance with the Appointment and Remuneration Guidelines published by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
