Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active and organised candidate to join our small team working within Corporate Broking and alongside the dedicated Investment Trusts team, with primary responsibility being Investor Relations for our Corporate Broking clients within the Investment Trusts universe. The candidate will have access to the specialist sales team on the Markets side, alongside whom the team works with on a frequent basis for the benefit of clients.As an Investor Relations Analyst in the Investment Banking business, you will typically be responsible for the execution of roadshows and events (which are often arranged with a view to targeting existing and new investors). You will be part of a dynamic and evolving team with an opportunity to develop key IR skills and immerse yourself in the Investment Trust sector. This role offers career progression and we are looking to hire an Analyst who is dynamic and eager to execute and attend client roadshows and events.Job responsibilities

  • Create and execute bespoke marketing plans for corporate broking clients involving results & regional roadshows, investor lunches, capital markets days etc.
  • Gaining investor feedback and preparing reports following roadshows and events
  • Accompany clients to meetings arranged (representing JPMC)
  • Preparing roadshow schedules & supporting the IR team with roadshow execution tasks
  • Build relationships with investors in London, Edinburgh and the regions to further develop network
  • Uncovering buying interest from new/existing investors
  • Speak to investors to identify gaps in their portfolios in order to ensure they are offered relevant 1-1 meetings and events
  • Work in conjunction with the Specialist Sales team to highlight and inform corporate broking clients to new and existing investors when positive research or favourable market conditions occur
  • Pre-market of new products (i.e. obtaining pre-sounding scripts and calling from the desk new and existing investors to discuss new products)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in complex organisational tasks
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, attention to detail and well organised
  • Organisational skills and self-motivated approach essential; ability to prioritise workload
  • Confident and pro-active when working with Sales and Investment Banking teams
  • Interest in the financial markets
  • Team player and good interpersonal skills essential
  • Good telephone manner essential
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Common sense, be able to work on own initiative. Resourcefulness in problem-solving under pressure
  • Proficient knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • FCA Registered
  • IR/Roadshow experience
  • Experience in client management
  • Experience with organisation of events
