How can you make a difference?
Join UNICEF Global Shared Service Center (GSSC)`s Operations section and play a vital role in supporting its budgetary and financial activities. The Budget and Finance Associate will be responsible for providing a variety of specialized tasks in budget and finance management, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF financial rules and regulations, whilst demonstrating the capacity to research, adapt and evaluate irregular cases, and also to recommend improvements to process delivery and design.
Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:
Support to preparation, monitoring and management of the GSSC budget
- Managing transactions pertaining to administration of operational budgets, contracts and commitments.
- Reconciliation and data analysis

- Completed secondary education (i.e.high school diploma) is required. University degree in business administration, finance, accounting or statistics is considered an asset.
- Minimum six years of professional experience in financial and budget management is required. Completed relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards 3 years of the minimum work experience requirements. Experience in UNICEF operations is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of UN/UNICEF`s rules, regulations and procedures is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of Hungarian language is required. Knowledge of another UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.
