About the role:

This unique opportunity will see you enhance, lead and execute BaptistCare’s Sustainability framework and initiatives across our rapidly growing organisation. Managing initiatives such as our Reconciliation Action Plan and other key initiatives and action plans including our commitment to net zero by 2050.

As the subject matter expert on social and environmental sustainability, you will identify and manage sustainability risks and opportunities, drive positive change and embed sustainability goals and value creation.

About you:

To be considered, you will have:

  • Related bachelor’s degree preferably with an Environmental, Social or Governance discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within a senior sustainability role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in areas of environmental and social sustainability and/or governance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with ability to quickly understand and advise on emerging trends and stakeholders needs
  • Strong ability to collect, analyse and interpret data and provide comprehensive guidance on setting and monitoring KPIs and sustainability metrics and on assessing projects and initiatives.
  • Highly organised with strong project management, stakeholder management and influencing skills to lead and manage with authority.
  • A natural collaborator, able to work across teams and operational streams.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and manage tasks independently
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in global environmental standards and frameworks such as UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) and others – desirable
