Become part of our twelve-person team at the Academy for Conflict Transformation within forumZFD! As advisor networks and cooperations you are responsible for increasing the visibility of the Academy for Conflict transformation, establishing new cooperations and conceptualizing new trainings. You will work closely together with the other educational advisors in the academy, with our (international) programmes team and with our fundraising experts. So you will play a key role in the further development of the Academy’s portfolio. You report directly to the Head of qualification and domestic programme.
The place of work is the head office of forumZFD in Cologne-Ehrenfeld.

What we offer

- A temporary position (2 years) with an option to extend.

Your new role
- Establishing and maintaining relevant networks and cooperations for the Academy of Conflict Transformation
- Representing the Academy in national and international events to ensure our presence in the most relevant peacebuilding discourse settings
- Tracking and further processing of relevant international discourses on peace work and conflict transformation
- Conceptualization of new trainings, including consultation with cooperation partners and contribution the preparation of offers and proposals
- Further development of the cooperation with (international) programmes of forumZFD (working groups, bilateral contacts, feedback loops on current peacebuilding topics)
- Active participation in the further development of the Academy’s portfolio
- Collaboration on further processes in the qualification team as well as cross-team processes
What we are looking for
- University degree in social sciences or another field close to peace and conflict studies
- Work experience and profound knowledge in theory and practice of peace work and conflict transformation
- Proven competencies in adult education and didactics
- Confidence in dealing with a variety of stakeholders from different backgrounds, consulting skills and ability to establish new cooperation networks
- Distinct ability to work conceptually and to write applications, offers and reports
- High level of organizational skills and ability to work in a team, taking the initiative where needed
- Experience abroad / proven intercultural skills
- Confidence in using online tools – ideally experience in virtual facilitation/moderation or willingness to learn
- Language skills: Fluent in English and German
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Germany

Its Academy for Conflict Transformation offers a learning space for professional, international peace work.
