The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.

We are seeking an experienced Programs Coordinator to join our family. Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning for Life and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this will be a hands-on role, where your proven experience and dedication to community, will help you thrive. You’ll be a part of a supportive and newly created team, working on programs that create better futures for the children we support.

About our role

You will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining Partner School relationships and monitoring progress, planning, implementation and feedback on programs and activities.
  • Continually monitoring program delivery and ensure the database has accurate and up to date information.
  • Advocating for and answering enquiries relating to The Smith Family educational programs.
  • Meeting with fellow team members to discuss potential improvements that can be made to the programs.
  • Building relationships and working with community leaders and organisations to identify partnership opportunities.

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • A genuine care about supporting the educational outcomes of young people.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining strong partnerships and relationship development.
  • Relevant experience managing and coordinating multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate data.
  • Hold a current driver’s license.
  • Have or willing to obtain an employee Working With Children’s Check.
