Sr. Manager, Philanthropy – Leadership Giving

(Chicago/Hybrid) The Sr. Manager of Philanthropy will lead the
Leadership Giving team to reach and exceed revenue goals by
retaining and upgrading high-value donors to the organization
through personal and high-touch outreach. As Sr. Manager, you will
report directly to and work closely with the Director of Retention
and Strategic Segments to develop and implement the overall annual
caseload strategy, including caseload assignments and portfolio
composition to align with the goals of upgrading and retaining
mid-level donors.  This position is based in our Chicago
headquarters.

We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s degree or
equivalent education and related experience. Minimum 7 of
experience and demonstrated success as a front-line fundraiser.
Individuals with a minimum of 1-3 years management experience
managing a team. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) is
preferred.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Mid-Level Donor Engagement & Solicitation:
     Work with Leadership Giving team to ensure revenue goals are
    reached and exceeded. The Sr. Manager will also manage a caseload
    of donors.
  • Development and Implementation: Develop and
    support the implementation of high-quality, personalized
    communication and correspondence that deepens donor’s relationship
    with The Fellowship, their impact, and their assigned Leadership
    Giving team member.
  • Supervise and Lead:  Directly supervises
    Leadership Giving team. Ensure Leadership Giving team meets
    established performance guidelines. Carries out supervisory
    responsibilities in accordance with The Fellowship’s policies.
  • Cross-functional team partnerships: Work
    closely with Integrated Fundraising and Major Gifts teams to ensure
    a smooth transition to donors to and from both programs. 
  • Data and Reporting: Use data to track
    progress, evaluate, and report out on the program’s strategic and
    financial goals.

 

Technical & Individual Skills: 

–      Experience successfully managing
personal portfolio of clients or donors. 

–      Experience reviewing and
interpreting data to improve program performance.

–      Knowledge of both Jewish and
Christian beliefs.

–      Ability to empathize with the
strongly held religious and/or political.

–      Experience reviewing and
interpreting data to improve program performance.

–      High level of accuracy and
attention to detail.

–      Excellent written and oral
communication skills.

–      Strong analytical, planning,
time management, and organizational skills required.

–      High proficiency in MS Office
suite required, and experience with fund raising database.
