Role Overview
We’re looking for a committed full-time Influencer organiser to support our citizen mobilisation push in the 2024 EU elections, from March to June 14. You will be part of a team dedicated to ensuring Europe continues to stand as a strong democratic force.
Joining one of the world’s leading public organisations, your expertise in identifying, accessing and engaging relevant influencers, celebrities and stakeholders will be leveraged to execute targeted campaigns aimed at preserving our human rights and dignity, as well as the environment during the EU elections.
The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of German politics and the far right, and can strategise, access and mobilise a wide network consisting of media and culture personalities, stakeholders and other influencers – including micro influencers.

Responsibilities
- Develop a plan to identify and engage various influencers that can mobilise progressive voters ahead of the EU elections.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high profile German influencers, media professionals, celebrities, and other key stakeholders to promote awareness and engagement in our EU election campaigns.
- Collaborate with team members to develop compelling messaging and content tailored to resonate with target audiences and align with campaign objectives.
- Proactively identify and engage potential partners and collaborators to amplify campaign messaging and broaden reach.
- Strategize and execute influencer engagement initiatives, including outreach, partnerships and content collaboration.
- Monitor German election trends, news cycles, and social media conversations to identify opportunities for timely and impactful messaging.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in influencer marketing, public relations, or network management, preferably in Germany.
- Strong and diverse network of influencers, media contacts, celebrities, and other relevant stakeholders in Germany.
- Solid track record in creating content for political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or media outlets.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and grammatically correct content under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using social media and chat platforms (incl. TikTok and WhatsApp).
- Knowledge of German politics, institutions, and electoral processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to interpret data and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English is an advantage.
Location
Avaaz is a virtual organization, with most of our work done online. Our staff are based all over the world. For this position, the candidate needs to be based in Germany, ideally in or around Berlin.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary varies with location and experience, and is highly competitive with leading international nongovernmental organisations. The monthly compensation for this position ranges from 4.800 – 7.000 EURO.
