We have developed a mobile savings model that allows farmers to invest their own funds in high-quality seed, fertilizer, and agricultural training to increase their harvest and income by 50-100%. About the Role:
As the Program Associate on the Growth & Expansion Team at myAgro, you will play a crucial role in supporting strategic initiatives focused on international expansion, government relations, and CEO greenfield projects. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong project management skills and a passion for making a positive impact in the agricultural sector. The ideal candidate will assist in conducting research, managing field surveys, implementing project tracking tools, and leading various projects such as carbon credit and remittance initiatives. Fluency in English and French, along with the ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time, is essential for this role.
You Will:
International Expansion:
- Conduct desk research and assist in on-ground due diligence in target countries to gather data and insights for strategic decision-making.
- Support in identifying new markets and contribute to the design of entry strategies for international expansion.
- Assist in managing projects related to market entry and integration of new offices into myAgro’s core business.
- Contribute to measuring the impact of expansion efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Government Relations:
- Aid in mapping the stakeholder landscape and identifying critical stakeholders for engagement.
- Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with key government stakeholders.
- Support the analysis of government programs and legislation to identify business opportunities.
- Implement and lead strategic intelligence gathering and analysis.
CEO Greenfield Projects:
- Assist in leading special projects and initiatives such as Remittances, automatic savings, Farmer App, and Carbon credits.
- Support in overseeing projects from conducting desk research to developing recommendations for the executive team.
- Organize and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute various projects and ensure the achievement of all objectives.
- Assist in implementing dashboards to assess initiative performance regularly and communicate results effectively.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track the adoption, usage and impact of new solutions.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, International Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with basic Excel skills and a willingness to learn VBA.
- Interest in mapping tools and methodologies for conducting spatial analysis and creating actor maps.
- Excellent research skills, with a willingness to assist in conducting desk research and field surveys.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
- Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time to project sites and partner locations.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment with a proactive mindset and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
