who live in extreme poverty and face multiple levels of exclusion
due to gender, ethnicity, religion, and disability. The
organization has worked with over 450,000 participants and their
families, helping to sustainably lift over two million people out
of extreme poverty in India, Africa, and the Americas. Our mission
is to partner with women in extreme poverty to build economic
opportunity and drive inclusion. Trickle Up works through partner
organizations, to build paths to savings, food security, and
agency, resulting in sustainable poverty reduction at scale.
Position Overview
As part of the organization’s overall fundraising and new grant
development strategy and process, the Strategic Partnerships and
Fundraising Officer, in close collaboration with the organization’s
President and senior leadership team, will be responsible for
coordinating and managing Trickle Up’s expansion of fundraising and
strategic partnerships. He/she will identify new opportunities,
foster relationships with potential partners, coordinate ongoing
outreach to new and existing partnerships, and manage institutional
fundraising activities related to program activities throughout the
organization. The Strategic Partnerships and Fundraising Officer
will work closely with senior leadership, especially those within
the global Development team, Program Management team, and Regional
Directors, to develop and support strategies and opportunities that
align with Trickle Up’s overall vision, mission, and work as we
implement a strategic plan that promotes successful fiscal
outcomes.
Principal Responsibilities
Institutional Fundraising (60%)
- Help coordinate and manage institutional fundraising activities
throughout the organization, aligning with Trickle Up’s mission to
partner with women in extreme poverty to build economic opportunity
and drive inclusion. - Manage the proposal development workstream.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, industry
opportunities, competitive positioning, and innovative
partnerships. Track upcoming institutional funding opportunities
that align with our geographical footprint and technical assistance
capability in Graduation and Economic Inclusion. - Track and manage leads generated, and identify potential
partners through various channels, including networking events,
referrals, and online research. - Coordinate the development and ensure the timely submission of
funding proposals and partnership agreements with private and
corporate foundations, and key institutional donors. - Manage, edit, and maintain CRM software.
- Prepare business development reports monthly, presenting key
opportunities and feedback to senior management.
Strategic Partnership Development (40%)
- Actively manage and coordinate the development of strategic
partnerships and create and track upcoming funding and partnership
opportunities that align with Trickle Up’s mission and strategic
objectives globally. - Partner with the President and senior leadership teams, to
understand, develop, manage, and track funding opportunities and
strategic partnerships. - Collaborate with teams across the organization to coordinate
and support their fundraising and partnership development
efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, international
relations, business administration, or a related field. Master’s
degree is preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in non-profit development and strategic
partnership development including experience with institutional
funding and coordinating organizational fundraising efforts. - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships
with colleagues, potential and existing partners, funders, and
outside experts. - Demonstrated record of identifying, tracking, and leading
winning awards from bilateral, multi-lateral, and private sector
funders. - Ability to serve as a proposal writer and master editor for
assigned proposal packages.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics
tools.
- Preference for candidates with an understanding of the
international development field and programs promoting economic
inclusion of women experiencing extreme poverty.

- Show strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather
and analyze a variety of information and to develop appropriate
recommendations for action. - Demonstrate leadership skills, including the ability to lead
and manage proposal development teams and oversee/influence the
contributions of others. - Show strong interpersonal skills—with an ability to work with
staff and employees at all levels and across regions. - Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively to
expand Trickle Up’s funding and strategic partnerships. - Have a natural entrepreneurial mindset that fosters
collaboration and creative thinking. - Have an aptitude and ability to drive growth in opportunities
for strategic and funding partnerships. - Demonstrate effective project management skills, including
organization and time management. - Exhibit confidence and elegant interpersonal skills to work
collaboratively with colleagues, funders, and partners. - Have exceptional influence skills and the ability to lead
teams, manage multiple activities, and resolve issues.
Language
- Fluency in Spanish desired.
Travel
- Willingness to travel occasionally (10-20%) to our Global
Offices.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a base salary between $ 68,000-$79,000
commensurate with experience and location, along with a generous
benefits package including health insurance, professional
development opportunities, as well as paid time off, and paid
federal/local holidays. The successful applicant will join a
