We are looking for a skilled and experienced Community Officer to lead on connecting people and
nature for this inspirational National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project. You will form
part of a dedicated team and partnership to deliver the £4.4m, five-year Delivery Phase to Life
on the Edge.

The Life on the Edge project aims to restore species-rich grasslands to secure a positive
future for some of the UK’s rarest invertebrates and plants living along the South Devon coast,
while improving people’s health, wellbeing and nature-connectedness.

You will be part of a dynamic and passionate team at the South Devon National Landscape,
including volunteers, apprentices and trainees, and work with a wider project partnership
including Buglife, National Trust, South West Coast Path Association, Doorstep Arts and local
communities, organisations, farmers and landowners.

This exciting role is an amazing opportunity to work in one of the UK’s finest coastal
landscapes – it is highly designated and includes Special Areas of Conservation, National
Nature Reserves, Sites of Special Scientific Interest and forms an important part of the South
Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, South Devon Heritage Coast and South West Coast Path
National Trail.
