Job description
Working closely with and reporting to the CEO, the Head of Giving and Experience is a key member of this values-driven non-profit advocacy organisation that helps people seeking asylum, by providing direct services such as assistance with accommodation, food, casework, employment, education and legal services.
The purpose of this role is to provide oversight and guidance across the broad and diverse public fundraising activities, alongside championing a strategic and exceptional supporter experience. As a strategic fundraising practitioner, this role will oversee end to end resourcing and prioritisation of campaigns paralleled with establishing sustainable, diverse revenue practices. This role has two direct reports and strategically manages all fundraising, philanthropic and grant revenue streams and supporter engagement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Drive and embed the External Engagement Fundraising and Philanthropy Strategy with a view of reaching the strategic, financial, engagement and operational aims of the organisation’s vision
- Supporting and leading the team to deliver on revenue targets, diversify income streams and increase retention.
- Provide strategic advice on future investment, consolidation and diversification of fundraising and philanthropy revenue streams.
- Ensure best practice approaches to fundraising and philanthropy programs through a human rights approach.
- Delivery of robust, accurate and insightful reporting, analysis and financial forecasts.
- Build the capacity of people within the team, manage performance and grow thriving talent.
- Build and maintain strong connected relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
To be considered for this role you must have well developed capabilities in fundraising and experience leading and developing teams to achieve strategic outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key as are excellent analytical skills and strong financial experience in managing complex budgets as well as a high level understanding of supporter behavioural and motivational data.
Based in Footscray, this role offers a hybrid on-going model in this full-time permanent position. Full salary packaging on offer and additional benefits provided.
