About the RoleThe Finance Functional Analyst is an exciting position under the guidance of the Finance Functional Lead in Business Systems, which will provide support expertise, business analysis, implementation across all finance systems at TMG. This includes the continued transformation in this area, including the integration between the systems and the related reporting.In this role, you’ll act as a core part of the Business Systems team liaising between Finance SMEs, technology SMEs, other analysts and 3rd parties to support finance systems.You’ll balance business and system priorities and be well-placed to contribute to the overall transformation programme in this area.This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the way the delivery and management of finance systems at TMG takes shape.We operate with hybrid working, with 3 days in the office.Key Responsibilities● Support of end user tickets relating to Unit4 ERP7 and related systems
● Control & resolution of user/system issues and suggest ways to prevent recurring issues
● Creation and ongoing maintenance of system documentation, knowledge base articles, user guides and standard answers
● Advise Finance on best practice, both from process and system perspective.
● Responsibility for functional set-up of the system(s)
● Collaborate with the team on support and configuration best practices
● Provide system functional improvement suggestions to improve business processes
● Investigate, advise and implement added functionality; either from new product enhancements or functionality requirements from Finance users, following the Finance Enhancements RoadMap
● Drafting and agreeing functional specifications
● Monitor best practices to ensure adherence to system proceduresEssential Skills● Substantial experience of UNIT4 ERP7, specifically Purchasing, Fixed Assets, Payables, Receivable, General Ledger● Hands-on experience of UNIT4 ERP systems administration● Work with 3rd parties (example Unit4) in ticket resolutions● Knowledge of reporting functionality and Workflow● Ability to devise functional specifications and creating test plans and undertaking testing● Ability to build good relationships with end users● Ability to engage with stakeholders to find solutions to business problems related to UNIT4 ERP or other systems● Ability to train end users on UNIT4 ERP functionality● Extensive troubleshooting and communication skills● High level of oral & written presentation skillsDesirable Skills● Functional knowledge of implementing UNIT4 ERP modules as above with experience of at least two full lifecycle implementations● Experience of ERP7 implementations hosted in UNIT4’s cloud.● Familiarity with Proactis Invoice Capture or equivalent electronic invoicing solutions● Familiarity with Corcentric (supplier invoicing and customer billing application)● Accounting qualificationBenefitsThe nature of our industry means life at the Telegraph Media Group is fast-paced, demanding, and interesting.
