The organisation
Youth Projects is an independent charity providing front-line support to young people and individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues. Offering a complete wrap-around, judgement-free service and a strong focus on respect, Youth Project is known as an innovative client centred organisation www.youthprojects.org.au.
The role
Your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful, overseeing end-to-end finance operations, preparing statutory accounts and managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions. Managing a small team your focus will be on upskilling and mentoring; leading by example.
You will collaborate closely with organisational leaders and executives to
- Develop accurate budgets & business plans
- Generate insightful forecasts, proactively identify patterns and issues
- Provide valuable insights for decision-making processes.
What You Bring
You are a technically astute financial account (with a heart) and have CA/CPA and relevant tertiary quals. With previous experience within the sector you understand the opportunities and challenges this environment brings.
You would be described as someone who swiftly translate ideas into action with a rare blend of determination and drive; you take charge and navigate challenges with ease. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and enjoy mentoring people even if you have not managed staff in the past.
