Are you a passionate leader with expertise in disaster risk reduction (DRR)?

Plan International Pilipinas is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead an 18-month project focused on strengthening the capacity of local government units (LGUs) and communities in Samar to prepare for, respond to, and mitigate disasters.

You will be responsible for:

  • Project Management: Lead the project implementation, develop the detailed plan, manage the budget, and ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Oversee the development of monitoring tools, conduct field visits, and contribute to project learning and improvement.
  • External Networking & Advocacy: Develop partnerships, participate in relevant events, and represent the project to external stakeholders.
  • Community Engagement: Ensure the participation of children, youth, and vulnerable groups in project activities.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • University degree in a related field (social development, social sciences, etc.) – Master’s degree a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience implementing community-level programs, with 2 years in DRR projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Children’s Rights, DRR, human rights, and gender equality.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and passionate about child rights and community development.
  • Fluency in English and the local dialect is a plus.

Reports to: Head of Program Operations – Visayas

This role requires fieldwork to the project areas.
