The St.Gallen Endowment is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Digital Economy Policy Analysts to join our team for an ambitious project covering digital trade and regulatory frameworks in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking analysis conducted by our Digital Policy Alert initiative to understand digital policy and digital trade in a diverse and dynamic region.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on digital economy regulations, laws, and policies in assigned countries
- Assess countries’ commitments and obligations in digital trade agreements
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive regulatory assessment reports
- Work closely with the project team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Arabic, Turkish, Greek, or French
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal and policy documents
- Relevant academic background and a demonstrated interest in digital economy, trade, and/or economic policy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
This is a full-time, remote position with a contract duration of 4 months. The workload will be particularly intense from June to August 2024. Immediate availability is strongly preferred.
