Your responsibilities
The Business Computing (FAP-BC) group, within the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), is responsible for developing and maintaining a wide range of support applications essential for the operations of the organization.
We are currently seeking a UX/UI Designer to contribute to enhancing the usability of our diverse portfolio of applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces for web-based and mobile applications;
- Implement user-centered design principles to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces;
- Develop and maintain UI design patterns and style guides to ensure consistency across applications;
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs;
- Work closely with developers to implement designs and ensure design integrity throughout the development process.
Your profile
Skills and/or knowledge
- Experience in UX/UI design of user interfaces for web and mobile applications;
- Experience using design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, etc.;
- Experience conducting user research, user testing and feedback
- Knowledge of User-Centered Design Principles;
- Ability to create wireframes and interactive prototypes;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- You have a professional background in Design, Graphic Design (or a related field) and have either:
- a Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
- or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
