We are now looking for suitable candidates for the position Nurse. The position is based in IGMC Shimla, the position will report to Palliative Care Physician.  
 
Responsibilities
  • Identify patients in need of palliative care at OPD, IPD, level and subject patients to Palliative screening tool.
  • Co-ordinate with Palliative care in- charge with patients mapped out and subject to palliative screening tool in the periphery.
  • Active and preventive bedsore management at home.
  • Ryles tube and catheter care at home.
  • Counsel all patients on palliative care and refer to physician and counsellor, where necessary.
  • Document all work done as per format prescribed by IGMC, Shimla and HelpAge India.
  • To maintain inventory of drugs, consumables & office supplies.
Key Technical Attributes:
  • Degree in Nursing (B. Sc. Nursing) with minimum one year of experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
