The Prevention of Violence Extremism Assistant (PVE Assistant) will support the implementation of activity, coordination, and communication within the target community to assist the achievement of the social cohesion/PVE objectives of the project in Ninawa governorate. The PVE Assistant skills, knowledge of social cohesion approaches, and understanding of the context in Ninawa. The PVE Assistant will work closely with the Committee of PVE in Ninawa.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Project Manager activities, implementation of projects activities.
  • implementing and oversee the working relationships with all local project stakeholders including overseeing the development of a subcommittee of Prevention of Violence Extremism to deliver high quality workshops to beneficiaries and CSOs.
  • Communication and community mobilization with, targeted beneficiaries, relevant local stakeholders and community leaders.
  • ensuring the material and documents are acquire and completed in line with Ashor policies.
  • Review the planed activity daily bases.

 

 

Essential

  • Iraqi National
  • Fluent Arabic and English (Kurdish would be considered an advantage)
  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role of responsibilitywith NGO or INGO.
  • Proven skills in planning and implementing.
  • communication skills and dealing with the local community.

 

 

Desirable

  • Bachelor Degree in, Engineering, Social Sciences or similar Humanities Degree.
  • Knowledge of ARD’s regulations and policies, and experience managing high-quality GCERF funded project(s).
  • English language and local language skills.
  • good knowledge of Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel, Word)
