Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders based on DSM-5 criteria.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  1. Therapeutic Interventions:
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other appropriate modalities.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  1. Crisis Intervention:
  • Offer crisis intervention and management for clients experiencing acute psychological distress.
  • Develop safety plans and provide immediate support and stabilization.
  • Provide consultation and support to other staff members regarding psychological issues.
  1. Education and Training:
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and clients on mental health topics.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding and management of mental health conditions.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports on client progress and outcomes as required.
  1. Professional Development:
  • Stay current with developments in the field of psychology through continuing education and professional development activities.

Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation meetings

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    •  Psychologist, Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience. Or same duration in psychological department
    • Experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of psychological issues.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
    • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Languages:
    • Proficiency: Arabic is required.
