We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.The shift pattern is 37hrs over 5 days.An exciting opportunity has arisen within Older People & Stroke Service at GRI for a permanent Band 6 Nurse Educator. You will liaise with the Lead Nurses to identify ongoing development needs within specific areas & participate in the supervision & facilitation of the orientation of all new members of staff into the Directorate. Delivery of formal lectures & other teaching & learning strategies in other modules/programmes run by the Organisation & its partners in Higher education & maintain a database of all training.The role will be as follows:

  • Plan and organise relevant CPD courses to meet Directorate objectives and support the organisational change
  • Promote an environment that encourages learning, teaching and the development of all staff.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Education Strategy for the Service
  • The post holder will be expected to function autonomously and maintain links with the corporate education team.
