About Us:

Join our dynamic team at Andrea Peña & Artists, where performing arts creation meets production! We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Part-Time Production Director and Administration Associate. As a key support resource for our Arts Production & Administration team, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing, coordinating and managing productions at both national and international levels, to carry the strong, multidisciplinary vision of AP&A (www.andreapena.net). You will work closely with administrative, technical, and artistic teams to ensure the success of our large scale multimedia creations.

Responsibilities:

As a Production and Administration Associate, you will:

  • – Collaborate closely with the junior logistics coordinator and the company agent.
  • – Plan, coordinate, and manage projects involving administrative, technical, and artistic teams.
  • – Proactively monitor production and administrative schedules and deadlines, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • – Follow up on key stages of the production and administrative schedules.
  • – Draft agreements and liaise with organizations, artists, and external partners.
  • – Manage and oversee annual production budgets, including transferring invoices to the accounting department.
  • – Develop tools to optimize operations and maintain the company’s production schedule.
  • – Optimize logistics, including tours, agendas, meeting planning and coordination, and event schedules.

Profile and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. – Relevant experience in performing arts production and project management.
  2. – A post-secondary degree, preferably in arts management
  3. – Canadian citizenship or permanent residency at the time of application.
  4. – Not receiving employment insurance benefits.

  • – Autonomy and interpersonal skills.
  • – Experience in negotiation and follow-up with suppliers.
  • – Strong oral and written skills in French and English.
  • – Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Google (Drive, Calendar, and Gmail).
  • – Knowledge of Asana is an asset.
  • – Interest in the arts (festivals or performing arts) is a plus.
  • – Driver’s license, an asset.

Details:

➤ Entry into position: July 1, 2024 (sooner if possible)

➤ 20-25 hours/week

➤ Salary Range $27-$30 based on experience

➤ Duration: 6 months, from July 1, 2024 to December 2024, with possibility for long term contract
