Main purpose of job:
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) at the British Embassy in Mexico is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Energy Trade Officer. You will work with UK exporters in the energy industry to deliver an increase in trade and exports within the sector. You will work across a multi-disciplinary team (of policy, programme, and commercial colleagues) to deliver commercial objectives as part of a cross-Embassy energy and sustainability strategy, which includes a focus on clean growth. You will develop excellent relationships with British and Mexican companies and deliver an impactful programme of activities via a robust pipeline of UK exports in the energy sector throughout the supply chain. You will also work with Trade Policy colleagues to overcome market access barriers and with Marcomms and UK-based colleagues in promoting Mexico as a destination for British companies to do business.
