Our Centre

Conveniently situated within the grounds of Star of the Sea Primary School, our service has been serving the community for more than a decade. Catering to a maximum of 75 children aged from 6 weeks to the year before prep, we offer comprehensive care and support.

About the Opportunity

We’re in search of Lead Educators to join our team, working across all our rooms, including Long Day Care and Kindergarten.

We’re looking for passionate and dynamic educators who are dedicated to nurturing children during their formative years. If you’re enthusiastic about fostering children’s growth, development, and happiness in a secure and enjoyable setting, we’d love to hear from you.

We currently have x2 part-time positions available and x1 casual relief position available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Participate in professional and personal development.
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.

Job Requirements:

  • Holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care OR holds an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA.
  • Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
  • A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 months – Kindergarten aged in a play-based learning environment.
  • Effective workplace communication skills
