Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position: Internal auditor – employee with a university degree – pay grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen.
The internal audit team is looking for an internal auditor.
Part-time employment may be possible.
The employee will be placed in the specified pay group if all personal and pay scale requirements are met.

Working field:
Role and responsibilities
Plan, carry out and report on audits of projects financed by European funding programmes (in particular HEU, Horizon 2020, INTERREG, ERASMUS+) in accordance with the applicable national and European legal provisions; Perform independently project audits focusing on compliance to regulations, correctness and cost-effectiveness, including drafting of final report in English; Assist in other internal audits as required; Deputy tasks.
Requirements:
Key Qualifications & Skillset
- successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in economics, law or related disciplines or equivalent skills and experience;
- proficiency in both German and English is required (min. EU level C1);
- proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, is required; other IT skills are an advantage;
- Compliance with the relevant work instructions (e.g. global internal auditing standards, EU financial regulations, etc.).
The following are desirable skills and knowledge
- experience in auditing, e.g. auditing, tax consulting, project auditing or the processing of third-party funded projects;
- knowledge of national and European grants, budget and procurement law (for budget – LHO, AV LHO, travel expense accounting – BRKG; procurement – esp. UVgO, GWB and payroll accounting – TV-L Berlin universities);
- independent and careful working practices;
- good communication and and ability to deal with stressful situations;
- lifelong learning mindset.
