Relationships Australia NSW (RANSW) provides a safe, judgement-free environment where individuals, couples and families can address the critical matters impacting their relationships, and their lives.
What you’ll do
- Provide specialist and intensive assistance to Forgotten Australians and others residing within the Central and Eastern Sydney region to navigate aged care systems such as screening, assessment and accessing formal and informal services
- Encourage members of the target group to make informed decisions about their aged care services and supports
- Participate in assertive outreach to build individual and community capacity in communities
The details:
- Full time contract to 30/11/25
- Work remotely with flexibility to work from our City or RA office in Sydney Metro area 1 day a week (minimum)
- Travel within Central and Eastern Sydney region is essential
- Approx $44 per hour + super + leave loading + salary packaging benefits
- Valid NSW Class C drivers licence and own comprehensively insured motor vehicle is required
What you’ll bring
- A tertiary qualification in social work, counselling, psychology, welfare, or health related services
- Experience in the human services environment, ideally working directly with older Australians, people experiencing social isolation, grief and loss
- Demonstrable skills in client assessment, engagement, and awareness of issues relating to client safety, confidentiality, and the requirements of relevant legislation
- Understanding of ageing and ageing related issues, elder abuse, trauma and complex trauma, and Family and Domestic Violence is desirable
