Medecins du Monde (MdM) is an international humanitarian healthcare organization whose French branch is governed by French Law of 01/07/1901 and has its registered headquarters in Paris. MdM gathers a network of 17 national counterparts over Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The network currently operates in over 74 countries worldwide, providing emergency and long-term medical care to the world’s most vulnerable populations, in partnership with local organizations. In the Middle East, MdM has over 17 years of experience running health programs in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), and Türkiye. MdM advocates to end health inequities in the realms of sexual and reproductive health and right (SRHR), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), harm reduction, and migration rights.

Main mission: 

To manage the organizational aspects of a coordination, with regards to program, administration, logistics and human resources. To be the link between the program team and coordination team. 

 

Activities: 

  • Collect and process information, prepare files/summary notes specific to the activity of the coordination and programs 
  • Provide management support regarding contracts (MoU, lessor contracts, partnerships, etc.), collect and consolidate information, complete contracts according to the templates established regarding key information and according to the instructions received, follow-up the signature process, monitor various deadlines and steps to be taken 
  • Provide management support regarding reporting (donors, concept notes), the production of coordination documents (letters, reports, etc.), the production of communication material (leaflets, posters social media posts etc.) 
  • Ensure logistical and administrative preparation and organize departmental activities, training sessions and meetings 
  • Manage schedules, write minutes 
  • Update and monitor the coordination’s dashboards 
  • Translate and interpret 
  • Monitor deadlines (contracts, reports from donors and/or partners, etc.) and report process mail, files and documents (distribute, archive) 
  • Update and maintain contacts (partners, authorities, etc.) 
  • Facilitate internal communication flows 
  • Keep the link between the field team and the coordination (Arabic/English) 
  • Assist in the data collection and monitoring of the program activities 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Main skills: 

  • Identify, collect, check and summarise important data and/or information to be reported 
  • Organise and prioritise activities Adapt planning to unforeseen events 
  • Know and apply logistical and administrative procedures Use a filing and archiving method 
  • Master the languages of coordination and program (English and Arabic) 
  • Use the Microsoft Office Pack 
  • Master the language of the coordination: English 
  • Arabic language native  
  • Kurdish, French an asset 
  • Use the Microsoft Office Pack 

Training– Previous professional experience required: 

  • University degree in administration, management, social sciences or equivalent  
  • At least 1 years of experience in the relevant area (humanitarian, civil society organization) 
  • Experience in translation

How To Apply

Conditions of the position:  

 

  • Technical supervisor: Direct manager: General Coordinator. 
  • This position will be based in Baghdad with regular field visits all around the city. Possible regional and international trips.  
  • The candidate should embrace MdM values and be able to work with vulnerable groups.  
  • Salary: monthly gross: IQD 2 305 621 (Cat 4a)+ Health insurance + food and transport allowance + 13th salary.   
  • Duration: 6 months renewable.  
  • Starting date: 15th of July  
  • Status: national position, only candidate able to work and live in Federal Iraq and located in Baghdad region will be envisaged.
